A Shining Concert

Congratulations to all our singers in Vox Populi for what was an unforgettable concert on Saturday evening!

Their performances of "Crux Fidelis" by Sarah MacDonald and Heather Sorenson's "Requiem" were beautiful and heartfelt, filled with nuance and emotion, with a special shoutout to soloists Laura Fowler & Simon Fowler, conductor James Meaders and accompanist Hilary Dilnot.

It was also wonderful to see Vox Populi join forces with the choir and choral scholars of St Mary's Church, West Malling and the Treblemakers, a singing group run by the Church for younger children! The joint choirs gave rousing renditions of Parry’s “I Was Glad” and “The King of Love My Shepherd Is" by Edward Bairstow to round off the evening.

If you want to hear these pieces again, be sure to book your ticket for Vox Anima London's "A Festival of Church Music" at 7pm on the 12 June at St John's Smith Square here!

Our Vox Populi singers are now off on their summer break, and we will look forward to welcoming them back to rehearsals in September.
