Emerging Composers Scheme Closes with Impressive Global Response

Friends of the Vox’s Emerging Composers Scheme, in collaboration with renowned composer Dan Forrest, has officially closed for submissions.

The scheme has attracted an impressive 100 entries from 19 different countries, showcasing a diverse range of talent from across the globe. The ages of the entrants spanned from 17 to 79, highlighting the wide appeal and inclusivity of the scheme.

This impressive response is a testament to the universal passion for choral composition and the desire to contribute to the future of the genre.

The top three entrants will be notified on September 2, 2024. These finalists will receive monetary prizes and individual feedback from our esteemed adjudicators, Dan Forrest and James Meaders. Additionally, Vox Anima Chamber Choir will perform and record the winning composition, providing these emerging composers with a significant platform to showcase their work.

This exciting opportunity marks a significant step in nurturing and recognising new talent in the choral music community.
